A Place for Good supports frontline charities — those working with underprivileged youth, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals experiencing homelessness — by supplying them with the goods and resources they need.
"We bridge the gap between surplus and need — turning generosity into real-world results, one donation at a time."
What We Do
We have a unique inventory advantage that allows us to provide tangible goods that frontline charities need but can't always access on their own.
We supply frontline charities with physical goods they need — from donated supplies to essential items — delivered where impact is greatest.
We bridge the gap between surplus and need. With logistical expertise, we connect donations to organizations that can put them to immediate use.
We work with organizations of all sizes — big and small — that have boots on the ground and are committed to fostering real change.
We welcome volunteers who share our belief that everyone deserves access to essential goods and a fair chance at a better life.
Beyond goods, we step in with financial support when partner charities need it most — empowering the helpers so they can keep helping.
Donations by the pallet or truckload are welcome. We have the infrastructure to receive, sort, and redistribute large volumes efficiently.
Who We Serve
We support the organizations working directly with the most vulnerable members of our communities.
Whether you're a charity looking for support, a donor with goods to give, or someone who wants to get involved — we'd love to hear from you.

Since 2008, A Place for Good — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 26-3966214) — has been dedicated to helping good go further. We support frontline charities: those working with underprivileged youth, survivors of domestic violence, individuals experiencing homelessness, and more.
With access to a wide range of inventory and logistical expertise, we bridge the gap between surplus and need, turning generosity into real-world results. Whether it's distributing essential goods, offering operational support, or stepping in with monetary assistance, our mission is simple: empower the helpers so they can keep helping.
Together, we're building a stronger network of compassion — one donation, one delivery, one act of kindness at a time.

Our History
Community advocate Lisa A. Hernandez founded the Depot for Creative ReUse in Long Beach, California — a vibrant space where art, education, and environmental sustainability came together. It quickly became a beloved hub for artists, educators, and eco-conscious creators.
Over the years, the Depot's impact extended far beyond the art community. It inspired a movement rooted in creativity, kindness, and the belief that even the smallest resources can make a big difference.
Lisa passed the torch to Cory Lundquist, a local artist and long-time supporter. With deep respect for the Depot's legacy, Cory began reshaping the mission to address broader human needs — supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, uplifting underprivileged youth, aiding victims of domestic violence, and helping other nonprofits doing good in the world.
This evolution brought about a new name: A Place For Good. Our focus now expands beyond materials — we're in the business of giving second chances, whether through a warm jacket, a donated supply kit, or simply a moment of hope. And while our mission has grown, our creative spirit remains firmly at the core of what we do.
Our dedicated team works every day to connect surplus resources with the charities that need them most.
